A jolly good time was had by all.....

9/8/2014

Or Sept. 6 wine-tasting party at the beautiful Hacienda Los Molinos hotel just outside of Boquete was a huge success! 99 attending supporters of the Boquete Jazz&Blues festival helped us to raise $1010 for the festival! In addition 4 new members signed up for our exclusive Fedora Club.
It was an evening brimming with positive energy, great music to dance to, 10 great wines to taste and a super raffle with 7 prizes worth more than $460!
Here's a link to a bunch of photos taken by our master photographer Michael Moore. Enjoy!

Here we go again….

Thanks to the overwhelming support by the Boquete community of music lovers the 2014 Boquete Jazz & Blues Festival was a roaring success…but that was absolutely no reason for the organizing team to rest on their laurels. We got back to work on BJBF2015 immediately, striving to get everything in place as early as possible….

….and here it is - the exciting line-up of BJBF 2015!

We're inviting all you bluesin' and jazzin' babies in Boquete and beyond to come to our grand line-up release party on June 14. Come and take a look of the video presentation of the bands that will perform at next year's Boquete Jazz&Blues Festival from Feb 5 - 8, 2015!

Come and take a look, and you'll agree that with these first-class artists BJBF2015 promises to break all records!
Come and join us for the start of the fundraising and sponsoring campaign for BJBF 2015!

Come, take a look and listen, and don't forget to bring you dancing shoes….and a little cash (:-)))

Right after this party, on June 15th,  we will start to sell festival tickets and Fedora Club memberships online via our website http://www.boquetejazzandbluesfestival.com/tickets.html   Local ticket sales will start in September.
New members may join the Fedora Club and previous memberships may be renewed by dropping a cheque of $160 per person at Mailboxes ETC. in Boquete. Cheques need to be made out to 'Boquete Jazz&Blues Festival Foundation'. Please don't forget to leave your name and phone number and email address so we can contact you. Check out more details on our website here: http://www.boquetejazzandbluesfestival.com/fedora-club.html

Please help us to raise the funds we need to cover the high costs of flight and ground transportation for the artists by buying your tickets and/or Fedora Club memberships as early as possible! Remember: This year the festival sold out completely, and the 2015 edition will certainly sell out again, and earlier!

Festival Ambassador sponsorship launched!

1/7/2014

In order to increase the cash flow for paying impending bills the festival organizers have launched the Festival Ambassador program, a new level of sponsorship. To become a Festival Ambassador interested donors are requested to offer a temporary, repayable $2000 loan to the festival. They will get special recognition on this website as well as during the festival, and they will also automatically become members of the Fedora Club thereby gaining VIP status and enjoying all benefits of the Club. These loans will be repaid from festival revenues within 14 days after the end of the festival. Please read more about it and about ways to sign up for this sponsoring option on our Festival Ambassador page.
Payment options also include online payment through the Festival Ambassador page on this website.

The Monster Mash is on!

10/10/2011

Yeah, it's the season of witches, devils, scorcerers, scoundrels, pirates, the undead and all those other rotten creatures of the heavens and the underworld again! The Boquete Jazz&Blues Foundation is calling on all creatures of the night to assemble at Las Ruinas de Boquete restaurant (how appropriate is that?) on Oct 26 from 5-8pm for a creepy, ghostly, halloweenish ceremonial fundraiser for the Boquete Jazz&Blues Festival. Feast the beast and dance to life music of Rigoberto Coba's monster latin jazz band! Be a winner in our monster raffle with three amazing monster prizes! Costumes are optional but will be highly appreciated!

Photos of the fabulous wine-tasting fundraiser are online!

You can now see 40 pics of our fabulous wine-tasting fundraiser! Just go to our gallery on this site and enjoy!

A fabulous time at the wine-tasting!

9/26/2011

The Boquete Jazz&Blues Festival wine-tasting event on Saturday Sept.24 was a roaring success! Everybody was having a fabulous time! The tapas were excellent, the wines were great, and Rigoberto Coba's Jazzband brought everybody up on their feet to dance the evening away! 122 patrons attended, 118 bottles of wine were emptied, and we're already planning the next event! At the end of the day we raised $ 677 for the festival. Doesn't sound much but it's a lot for Panama!
A big THANK YOU to everybody who attended to show their support for the festival!
